Annual General Meeting 2020
As for many others 2020 has proved a challenge for Linton Lane.
When we were told in March that we would have to close our doors for an unspecified period the future of Linton Lane Centre looked far from certain. Indeed during the last several months many businesses, charities and individuals have suffered closure and loss of employment due to a pandemic which had severe economic consequences as well as a devastating impact on the nation’s health.
In July we ran a crowd funder campaign to try and recover some of the income which was lost due to the forced closure of all of our groups. This went on to raise over £10,000 from members of the community which was an overwhelming display of kindness and loyalty which helped us keep our doors open.
During the lockdown we worked in partnership with Morrisons, Sky, New Craig’s Church, Greener Kirkcaldy, Fife Council and theFoodbank to get food deliveries out to senior citizens and families pictured below.
As we reach our postponed 2020 AGM and move forward into a still uncertain future we would like to take the opportunity to once again give a big thank you to all those who supported us throughout this difficult time either through financial donations or through voluntary participation.
